Time passes, but some memories remain etched forever. This Sunday, July 12th, marked seven years since the passing of Farid Zidane, the older brother of Zinédine Zidane, who died in 2019 at just 54 years old after a long battle with cancer. A father of three and a husband, he left behind a deeply grieving family. On this sad anniversary, Enzo Zidane wanted to pay him another tribute. In an Instagram story, the eldest son of the former world champion shared a photo of himself alongside his uncle, accompanied by a simple yet deeply moving caption: "We miss you, Uncle." This gesture testifies to the very strong bond between Farid and his nephews and serves as a reminder that his memory remains more alive than ever within the Zidane family.

This isn't the first time Enzo Zidane has publicly expressed his affection for the man he considered a second father. Back in July 2015, he reshared photos published at the time of his uncle's death, writing: "We miss you, Uncle. I love you so much," accompanied by a white heart emoji. The photographs showed Enzo tenderly embracing Farid, then the entire family gathered around him despite his illness, before a boat trip with his loved ones. At the time, Sia, Giulia, and Kaia's father thanked his uncle "for everything" he had done for him, praising his unwavering love and the fact that he had always considered him "like a son." He also described a man of exceptional courage, able to maintain his smile despite hardship, and who had become, in his words, "an example" for the entire family.
