When interviewed, the Italian star, long shunned by Catherine Deneuve, explained that she was living "close to nature" in a "beautiful house near Fontainebleau." A city where she stayed with her children and where her Claudia Cardinale Foundation was also based: "My daughter and I wanted to continue together the battles I've fought throughout my life: defending women's rights (with UNESCO) and the environment. This is now my priority," declared the former co-star of Alain Delon and Jean-Paul Belmondo.
